Summer Busto is a visionary HR leader renowned for game-changing strategies that drive growth and reshape the future of work. Joining PIC in 2022, Summer is focused on  driving growth through progressive and dynamic strategies carefully honed over her multi decade career in Human Resources.

Summer has a successful Human Resource consulting business and founded Lumen HR Partners  so she could use her expertise to help organizations further prepare for this dynamic evolution.  She is especially passionate about creating inclusive environments where employees bring their “whole self” to work and have a clear path to work in their line of brilliance optimizing their talents.  Prior to Founding Lumen she led HR functions at Biogen, Cardinal Health, Bayer Crop Science and Emulate. Her work has spanned industries, company stages and sizes.  She spends her time engaged at the edge of humans and technology and has witnessed how the future of work is changing.

Summer holds an undergraduate degree in Management & Society from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from MIT Sloan,  She is a regular guest lecturer at Cornell University and MIT, inspiring individuals to embrace change and unlock their potential in human capital management.  Summer also judges ventures in sports and esports at Stadia Ventures and is a Board member of 100 Women Who Care Boston.
